PinkScreamingFebruary 2013 - Jimmy takes his performance experience to a whole new level! He currently stars as Rubix Von Füchenhürtz, the devious and loveable host of Pink's The Truth About Love Tour. Performing for a couple of thousand people doesn't phase Jimmy, but 15 to 25,000 a night?! It's enough to make anyone lose their cookies. Bringing his brand of goofy physical charm to a rock concert environment is a unique and welcome challenge. He will tour North America, Europe and Australia for the better part of 2013. Check out the tour website to see if they're coming to your town!

koozacalgary01November 2012, St. Petersburg, FL - Cirque du Soleil beckons Jimmy again, as KOOZÅ needs a temporary clown replacement in the last few weeks of its return American tour. He breaks out the red overalls and does the sexiest clown moves he knows with his old pals, this time in St. Petersburg, FL! And soon following, Jimmy preps for his super secret world tour in 2013. He may have already said too much, so stay tuned here for more details in the upcoming months.

QuiddlerOctober 2012, Las Vegas, NV - Holy crappola, it's been a busy month! Jimmy returned to Vegas from Denver, only to get right back in his car to drive to LA for the first annual SlapCon, where he participated in the two-day physical comedy fest. He also got to teach a comic stage combat workshop--choreographing a three-person fight to the entire group. Then upon Jimmy's return to the Sin City, he hopped right on stage at MGM's Crazy Horse Paris to perform as a Little Village Person in the Quiddler number during their last week of performances there--closing their 11-year run. He was also able to reprise the number (and continues to periodically) at the V Theatre for the V Variety Show. He even took time to pose for promo shots for an upcoming project with Paul Ebejer (the creator of Quiddlers) as the Blues Brothers (pictured left). But the biggest news of all is still in the works! Once pen hits the paper in the next few weeks, Jimmy will announce it to the world! You don't want to miss it! Stay tuned!

NutThumbSeptember 2012, Denver, CO - Verano at the Trocadero Theatre has come to a close, and Jimmy hangs out in the Mile High City a little longer to perform again with the Handsome Little Devils. He dons the evil moustache for a few performances at his old Tour de Fat stomping ground, in both Fort Collins and Denver, CO, as well as a performance later in the month in Central Pennsylvania. Jimmy is indeed looking forward to a little R&R back in Vegas after a very busy summer, but not before he participates in the first-annual Slapcon, a clowning, stunt and physical comedy convention, led by the great Scot Nery. At the convention, Jimmy will be teaching a comic stage combat workshop. He still squeezes in another lip sync video and receives over 225k views in one week--blazing past his last record! As he starts to put his freelance hat back on, Jimmy is in early talks for some incredible opportunities on the horizon. Details to come shortly!

SpellOnYouJuly 2012, Denver, CO - Jimmy has gotten the itch to self-produce more lip sync videos, and one has paid off in major virality! His version of Screamin' Jay Hawkins' "I Put a Spell on You" received 100k views in less than a week, and it's still going strong, thanks in part to being featured on Gawker.com, TheDailyWh.at, and BoingBoing.net! Jimmy is pleased as punch to get the extra attention. He's made two more videos since. All the while, he's enjoying his run this summer hosting and clowning in Cirque Innosta's Verano.

VeranoLipSyncJune 2012, Denver, CO - Jimmy has a sweet summer gig hosting and clowining at the Trocadero Theatre in the Mile High City, in Cirque Innosta's Moulin Rouge-style cabaret show, Verano. He is thrilled to work with such a great cast and making hundreds of people laugh everyday! Jimmy also gets to dust off the old lip sync chops live onstage. While in Denver, Jimmy plans on producing some more videos and add a few new skills to his repertoire. Stay tuned!

baronpicApril 2012, New Mexico - Jimmy hops on the road again with the Handsome Little Devils in his return appearance as the Baron Vegan Von Hamburger in the neo-Vaudeville extravaganza, Squirm Burpee. He joins his castmates in the huge RV and tours multiple cities in New Mexico before making the long trek to Cleveland's International Children's Festival in early May. Jimmy has also secured an exciting summer gig hosting and clowning in a family-friendly cabaret at Elitch Gardens in Denver, CO. The to-be-named show will be presented Memorial Day to Labor Day in the Mile High City. Keep it right here for more details!

OKOKMarch 2012, Las Vegas, NV - Less than a month remains on Jimmy's run as the White Clown in Cirque's "O". Saying goodbye (or "seeya later") will be just as hard this time as it was last year! Meanwhile Jimmy has been co-hosting the OK OK Variety Show (pictured left with Penny Pibbets) at the Artiface in the Vegas Arts District with his pal Amos Glick. In April, it's back in the saddle with the Handsome Little Devils' vaudevillian melodrama, Squirm Burpee! This time, Jimmy will be touring New Mexico for a few weeks before taking a long trek to Cleveland, OH for the International Children's Festival there. As he maps out his summer plans, he's been diving head first in working on his wife's Robin's body painting business website--no small feat! He's also updating his own online presences in preparation for freelancing. He's already enjoyed teaching his first comedic pratfalls class and is planning more instructional ventures in the future. Keep tuned in here for more details to come!

ofrownDecember 2011, Las Vegas, NV - Jimmy once again lathers on the greasepaint and dons the funny shoes in a return stint as the White Clown in Cirque du Soleil's "O" at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. The timing is just right, since he has just completed a super-fun East Coast run of Squirm Burpee with the Handsome Little Devils. Jimmy had a great time being the loveable villain, and he hopes to be working with them again soon! For now, he and his family will be enjoying some home-time this holiday season. 2011 was an exciting and successful year, but 2012 will be even better! The Slonina family wishes you all happy holidays and a wonderful new year!!

HLDBaronOCTOBER 2011, Las Vegas, NV - New Belgium Brewery's Tour De Fat 2011 comes to a triumphant close, touring 13 US cities in 20 weeks. It's been a great summer, working with great old friends and making great new ones. But Jimmy won't be unpacking his bags just yet. In November, he'll be on the East Coast, working with one of his favorite troupes, The Handsome Little Devils. The show, Squirm Burpee, is a new twist on vaudeville, and Jimmy is front and center as the show's malcontented narrator/villain, the Baron Vegan von Hamburger (left). He's looking forward to actually reciting lines again—and there are plenty of them! Hit the link and check the schedule to see if he's playing near you!

TDFBuffoonJULY 2011, Las Vegas, NV - Globetrotting resumes, as Jimmy officially gets rolling with New Belgium Brewery's Tour De Fat. So far, he's traveled to Durham NC, Nashville TN, (hometown) Chicago IL, Minneapolis MN, with 9 more cities to go! Jimmy picks up some new characters as he performs in the great outdoors and in the fabulous Le Tigre Tent. Jimmy also keeps busy at home by working with his friends in OK, OK Variety and 1230 Clown Show. He also is excited to have his wife open Skin City Studio & Boutique in Vegas' Arts District in August. Jimmy will miss (sort of) the body painted model business running out of their home--no more naked ladies all over the house! But exciting times are ahead for the whole family!

BalloonCast18JUNE 2011, Las Vegas, NV - Jimmy hangs up his clown shoes at Cirque's "O", as his temporary contract comes to an end, though he remains as an on-call performer there. Rehearsals for Tour de Fat continue with the first show happening later this month in Durham, NC. Jimmy keeps himself very busy with his Vegas clown chums, helping co-host and produce OK, OK Variety, as well as performing in the 1230 Clown Show (pictured left). He hopes to play an even bigger role, both onstage and off, in both ongoing projects.

tourdefatFEBRUARY 2011, Las Vegas, NV - Jimmy is happy to announce that he'll be going back on tour this summer, this time with New Belgium Brewing for their annual Tour de Fat, an outdoor festival of bikes and beer with an environmental sustainablility message at its heart. Joining him will be his old Daredevil Chicken Club friends Jonathan and Anne and their super-awesome Le Tigre Tent. Jimmy will be visiting 13 US cities in 20 weeks, creating new characters and numbers for this outrageous open-air cabaret/circus. Meanwhile, he is having a great time in his clown pants at Cirque's "O", often rubbing elbows with celebs like Colin Farrell, Heidi Klum, Danny Elfman, and Stephen Hawking. Jimmy is also collaborating with friends on some smaller-scale performance pieces, as well as pre-planning an exciting clown project of his own. More details to come! And to top everything off, he gets some spiffy new headshots from Vegas photographer, Eric Guideng.

IMG1515JANUARY 2011, Las Vegas, NV - Happy New Year! Jimmy begins the year big with his new (though temporary) stint as the White Clown in Cirque's "O" at the Bellagio, entertaining more than 1800 spectators twice a night! He also is hard at work to collaborate with Vegas cohorts on some exciting upcoming projects. Jimmy misses his KOOZÅ pals and wishes them well on their Japan run this year, but he's super happy to be settled into his comfy Sin City home!

OclownsNOVEMBER 2010, Miami, FL - Less than a month remains for Jimmy's time with KOOZÅ, when he receives some great news that he'll be temporarily replacing the White Clown in Cirque du Soleil's "O" at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas! The three-month stint, starting just before Christmas, will be a marked change in character compared to his clown in KOOZÅ. Russian clowning has a completely different speed and color from the very American clowning he's doing now. But being continually employed by Cirque--in his hometown of Vegas no less--and the excitement of change are welome new developments as the Slonina family embarks on the next adventure in their lives. Side projects with Vegas friends, as well as some exciting summer jobs are also in the works. In the meantime, Jimmy starts to get pangs of sadness for his upcoming departure from his friends and life on tour, all the while basking in the warm December Miami sun!

CheetahShoot164OCTOBER 2010, Calgary, AB - As KOOZÅ's time in Canada draws to a close, Jimmy dusts off the old video camera and editing equipment and collaborates with a couple of fellow performers to enter the Cheetah Power Surge TV Commercial Challenge. He directs and edits "Sunday in the Park with Cheetah", featuring two amazingly talented hand balancers, Corine Latreille and Sergey Nazarov, as well as his wife Robin and son Leo! Voting is currently underway and we could really use your 5-star vote! There's a good amount of money to be won, which would go a long way for the soon-to-be-self-employed Slonina clan. One more week in Calgary, then off to Las Vegas to regroup, then it's Jimmy's last KOOZÅ city, Miami, FL! [UPDATE: We didn't win the contest (boo!), but thanks to everyone who supported us and voted (yay!)]

KoozaBowAUGUST 2010, Vancouver, BC - Wow! Big news! Jimmy and his family have come to the difficult decision to not renew his contract with Cirque's KOOZÅ at the end of 2010. The show will go to Japan, but the Slonina clan will head back to sunny Las Vegas, leaving Jimmy a free agent! Read the full details via his blog post. He's already cooking exciting projects up with fun collaborators, as well as some solo projects. Jimmy has also taken up somewhat of an obsessive photography hobby that he's hoping will blossom in the near future. The starts of which can be found at his new photography website - SloShots.com. Jimmy still has about four more months left of KOOZÅ to go. Next month, Calgary, Alberta, then a two week break, and then finishing the tour in Miami, FL. Jimmy will certainly miss his friends and the great times spent in the Cirque camp, but new adventures await, and the fun has only just begun. Keep tuned in here for what comes next!

DressingRoomMAY 2010, Portland, OR - Website redesign! Jimmy keeps sharpening his design skills by giving JimmySlonina.com a facelift, as well as starting a new comic-style, quasi-autobiographical blog called The Amazing Adventures and Torturous Tediums of a Modern Clown. KOOZÅ wraps up its run in Stumptown, as the Slonina family preps for their move to the next city, Seattle, WA. On their week off between cities, the family will take a much needed vacation to their hometown, Chicago, IL. Right when they get back, Jimmy starts hard at work on editing together the trailer for the third installment of Voki Kalfayan's Vlogish Project. He will also be taking advantage of the warmer weather to work on another personal video project of his own. More details to come!

zombieclownandleoAPRIL 2010, Portland, OR - An incredibly busy and fulfilling past month--producing two new lipsync videos, submitting a second Vlogish entry, as well as participating in a zombie workshop in Los Angeles led by Voki Kalfayan, and hosting and performing in the inaugural production of the mini circus/variety show/cabaret Le Tigre in Santa Monica. Jimmy now finds himself in the Pacific Northwest for more wacky fun in KOOZÅ.

carlokstillMARCH 2010, San Diego, CA - Jimmy is now a regular contributor to the new web log collective called the VlogishProject created by Voki Kalfayan. Jimmy plays outerspace everyman, Carlok, documenting his and his family's alien (mis)adventures. Back on this planet, Jimmy settles in La Jolla, CA and gets his KOOZÅ on, this time at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Jimmy is also planning some much anticipated video projects on the very near horizon. Stay tuned...

flashpageFEBRUARY 2010, Irvine, CA - JimmySlonina.com wins first place in the Actor Website Contest by esteemed casting director, Marci Liroff. Jimmy's obsessive tinkering of background images, rollover buttons, and border pixels actually pays off! Thanks Marci!

IMG04581DECEMBER 2009, Santa Monica, CA - Leo Robert Slonina was born on December 17th, healthy and happy, after a marathon of a labor. Jimmy is looking forward to fatherhood but still finds time to put together a film demo reel, adds videos to a new Performance section, and generally spices up the website. KOOZÅ finishes its run in Santa Monica and packs up to pitch the tent in Irvine, CA in early January. The whole Slonina family wishes you a joyous holiday season and a Happy New Year!

MG7966NOVEMBER 2009, Santa Monica, CA - It barely seems like winter is near in sunny Southern California. A successful run on the Santa Monica Pier continues with packed, and often star-laden houses. On November 2, Jimmy and the KOOZÅ cast performed on "The Jay Leno Show". Exciting preparations are also underway for the new addition to the Slonina family, with just over a month to go. And post-production continues on his highly-anticipated collaboration with juggler Anthony Gatto.

WesternDenverSEPTEMBER 2009, Denver, CO - Work, work, work, and some play is the order of business in the Mile High City. Preperations for the high-profile Santa Monica run begin, including an appearance on Jay Leno in October. Also, a collaboration with master jugger Anthony Gatto is in the works. Stay tuned!

UltrasoundAUGUST 2009, ST. PAUL, MN - Finishing off a successful run in the Twin Cities, Jimmy and his wife Robin celebrate the news that they'll be having a boy in December. Baby and Mom are healthy and happy, and all are looking forward to the trip to the next city, Denver, CO.
